I’ve been using Mega for years alongside Dropbox on all my platforms (Windows, Linux, Android). Overall, a bit slower transfers than Dropbox because it can’t update in blocks or de-duplicate, thanks to zero-knowledge, but otherwise it’s practically identical to Dropbox without the pointless (for me) collaboration tools.
The problem is the MEGASync client. When you have a very tiny MEGA cloud, it might work fine ? But when you have hundreds of thousands of files on an 8TB MEGA, you can start the MEGASync client in the morning at 7AM.

Also, I think it’s safe to assume that those who are subjected to such slow speeds should probably not blame mega specifically. There are a few things you should take into consideration like firewalls and your internet settings before blaming mega. I only say this because so many people my self included think the speeds are great.
